Open Source Housing Solutions - How to help

There are multiple ways to help us sustain our mission at Open Source Housing Solutions.

First, you can donate items for use by our residents. These include the following:

• Lysol spray, floor cleaner, and glass cleaner for the kitchen

• Bathroom floor, shower, and toilet cleaner

• Brooms and dustpans

• Paper towels

• Toilet paper

• Vacuum cleaners

• Gently used or new sheets for queen or twin beds

• Gently used or new blankets for queen or twin beds

• Gently used or new bedspreads for queen or twin beds

• Gently used or new bath towels, hand towels, and wash clothes

• Pillows with plastic covers

• Kitchen towels and potholders

• Cleaning rags and sponges

Second, you can volunteer your time and talent to help. Opportunities include the following:

• Cleaning and maintaining the facility

• Electrical and plumbing work

• Helping welcome new residents by preparing their rooms

• Communication/social media coordination

Finally, you can support us financially. We are a registered 501(c)3, and accept tax-deductible donations for the following:

• Sponsoring emergency housing guests for $135 per week

• Sponsoring laundry cards or bus passes

• Sponsoring maintenance, repairs, and other operational costs of our facility
