Open Source Housing Solutions - How to help

There are multiple ways to help us sustain our mission at Open Source Housing Solutions.

1. Donate Operational Funds

   Open Source is fully volunteer-run. All donations will go toward operating and paying off debt for our current house in Steelton.

2. Emergency Housing Resident Sponsorship

   Our program model is based on having any potential resident without income needing emergency housing being covered with sponsorship funds of $135-$150/week. Your gift designated for resident sponsorship will provide a pool of funds with which we can provide emergency housing.

3. Donate Monthly Bus Passes/Morris Laundromat Cards

   With our location in Steelton, a bus pass is very helpful for residents to make it to the places they need to go for employment, food, and shopping.
   And until we get a washer and dryer installed, everyone needs to do laundry!

4. Adopt-A-Room

   When a resident leaves, we hope to get the room ready for a new resident as soon as possible. Could you pull together a team of 2-5 people that can be “on-call” to come clean and update a room as needed a few times throughout the year? This could include spending $50-$100/room to purchase needed items.
